Organisation metadata

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create and manage metadata at the organisation level.

Organisation-level metadata is available across all projects and diagrams.

Only Organisation Admins can manage organisation-level metadata.

Step 1: Expand Settings in the sidebar, and click on the diagram type you want to create metadata for.

Step 2: Click the METADATA tab.

Step 3: Click + NEW METADATA.

Step 4: Fill out the fields as needed, giving your metadata a name and colour. Metadata is free-text by default; click + DROP DOWN OPTION to start defining fixed options. Click SAVE when done.

You can restrict the types of diagram element a metadata can be applied to, for example ensuring that “Barrier Owner” is only applicable to Barriers.
